The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) has released a bulletin which sets out its policy about how accredited certification is being managed over the coming months as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak – see here.
In turn, accredited certification body members are required to review their policies about how this affects accredited certification audits, specifically focussing on the effects and risks to the health and safety of certification personnel. Certification bodies will be setting out their plans on how audits will be handled over the coming months particularly in the ‘at risk’ countries based on Governmental guidance.
